Black (B for Big Bat)

Pitcher

Pitcher will always pitch a power hitter outside. If the ball is put in play, she will backup home plate.

Catcher

Once the ball is in play, she will take her position covering home.

First Base

Will be plaing a litte deeper than normal. Pitching a power hitter outside is intented to force her to hit the ball off the end of the bat. This may cause the ball to be hit to the right side of the infield. She must field balls hit to her and cover 1st base.

Second Base

2nd base must be ready for balls hit off the end of the bat which are likely to find the right side of the infield. If the ball is hit to the left side, she covers second.

Shortstop

Shortstop plays deep just in case the pitch misses the outside and the batter hits it well. She covers second base if the ball is hit to the right side.

Third Base

She will play a step or 2 up to guard agains a ball hit weakly off the end of the bat. Once the ball has been played, she will cover her base.

Left Field

She will play a step or two deep when you suspect a right handed power hitter (a step closer if left handed). If the play is not coming to her, she will run to backup 3rd base.

Center Field

She will play a step or two deep when you suspect a power hitter. If the play is not coming to her, she will run to backup 2nd base.

Right Field

She will play a step or two up when you suspect a right handed power hitter (a step deeper if left handed). Once she sees that she is not in the play, she must quickly take a backup position to guard against an overthrow to first base. Even if she does not get there in time, her momentum will get her to the ball faster than 1st.
